Hey everyone! So as you’ve all noticed, we’ve been out of the loop for quite a while…and its not because we got lazy after smoking a couple of nice blunts. The reason as some of you know is that we were in the process of moving servers and we’ve tested out quite a few and finally settled on our current choice. During migration time, we’ve also been dragged down by our personal lives and personal work and we apologize for the delay.

But we’re back! We’re still tokin phat joints and loving every minute of it. I hope the new year bring’s alot of new stuff and maybe we’ll see the legalization of medical marijuana across all of North America. Wouldn’t that be something?

These painting are made from bits of roaches. If you get board of looking at it, try smoking it. The artist most of smoked alot of ganja to be able to put this type of stuff together. Great work though!

They are made by Pittsburgh-based tattoo artist Cliff Maynard, who puts together bits from the roach ends to create the mosaics. Each can take over 200 hours to complete, costing from $2,000 to $10,000 depending on the size.

In episode #4 of the Prison Potcast, Marc Emery reads his new essay “Stephen Harper and The End of Days (of Canada as we know it): Revelations about the Conservative Party’s direction for Canada”.

Remember back in ‘98 when the Canadian, Ross Rebagliati won a gold medal in snowboarding? He had his medal stripped (and eventually returned) after he was caught with traces of marijuana in his system (we call it havin’ a good time!). The first thing I remember saying to myself was “Wow! This guy won a gold medal while stoned? Fuck the gold medal! Give him a platinum medal encrusted with diamonds and be sure to BLING the shit out of that thing!”. This was the first time someone was caught with marijuana in the Olympics and the first time I realized that people don’t have a clue about what marijuana does to you. Now for the majority of users, marijuana can make you think and react slower than normal and, like me, a hell of a lot lazier. So for Rebagliati to win a gold while flying and flipping around in the air was quite a feat and at the same time impressed a crap load of stoners that were watching. Good news American potheads! You do not have to hide in fear as much. The Obama administration has released new policy on Federal marijuana laws.

“The Obama administration will not seek to arrest medical marijuana users and suppliers as long as they conform to state laws, under new policy guidelines to be sent to federal prosecutors Monday.” – Huffington Post

Definitely a step in the right direction, but there is still so much left to do, like Freeing Marc Emery! The new policy will start Monday, October 19, 2009. So sleep well Potatonation, America’s finally on the right track.

The Prince of Pot, Marc Emery has recently released a PotCast from his cell in North Fraser Pretrial Centre in Port Coquitlam, B.C. Marc was taken into custody on September 28, 2009 for selling marijuana seeds to the US. He is being held in Canada until the Justice Minister signs an extradition order to send him to the US. It has been a long battle and is still continuing until Marc is finally free.
