Have you ever wondered if you can make booze out of pot? Well you can and these companies have done it using hemp as the ingredient. Unfortunately, you can’t get high off of these drinks because hemp already has a low concentration of THC. But you can still get just as drunk. Remember to be safe and don’t drink and drive!

Cannabia

Cannabía® is apparently the first hemp beer and was created in March 1996, when Germany officially authorized the cultivation of hemp. Cannabía® is brewed in Germany partially as a traditional organic “Pils”, a Lager-beer. In a second step, a secret special organic hemp, source water & organic sugar* blend is added before fermentation has ended. This healthy “Beer & Hemp mixed beverage” is bottled after several weeks of fermentation and maturation.

GreenLeaf Hemp Ale

This is a lager made using hemp as a flavour adjunct (although it is wise to point out that it doesn’t contain any THC, the hallucinogen in marijuana). It comes in a very fetching blue bottle, and has a pale straw colour with a thin and bubbly head. On the nose it is slightly hoppy, slightly vegetal, but somewhat bland. Palate is vegetably in the mouth, maybe with a floral hop-like touch. It is also slightly sweet and a little cloying. The combined effect is somewhat unpleasant (wet cloth springs to mind), but on the plus side it falls short of the heights of blandness reached by certain more conventional and well-known lagers of this strength. It is also far too fizzy and thin. Aftertaste is dramatically bland, however, vanishing to nothing almost immediately. The bottle claims that hemp has over 25,000 known uses – on the evidence available, we think this particular use should be one of the illegal ones. OBBD reviewer: Sparks.

Hanfblute Bier

The Hanfblüte Bier is a Swiss lager, made with typical ingredients of beer plus hemp leaves and hemp flowers. It is characterized by a water source which gives its pleasant pure taste guaranteed by a healthy and unpolluted environment. Special and unique, the Hanfblüte Bier is the union of those who follow the tradition of brewing ingredients and high quality extract obtained from leaves and flowers of the hemp. It follows a beer-class which is unique and exceptional in design, but especially unique in taste!

Hemp Valley Beer

Beer Hemp Valley Beer – its unique taste is a given combination of deeply fermented beer with a pleasantly bitter taste and an extract of cannabis získávaným growing in the mountain valleys of Switzerland. Alcohol content 4.5%.

Hemp Brouczech (Czech Republic)

Pivovar Nova Paka created a unique recipe. The result is a brand new hemp beer, Hemp BrouCzech. This beer has a strong taste and a strong cannabis aroma. This beer combines nicely with the classic bitterness often typical of Nova Paka beer. The Hemp used is the same hemp that is harvested Hemp Valley Beer from the mountainous regions of Switzerland.

Burkes Hemp Ale

There’s not too much known about this ale other than its brewed and bottled in Australia and has this description “Filtering through Burke’s unique hemp filters creates a bright, crisp, clean tasting beer with a white creamy head.”

Hemp Ale (California)

Affiliated with the Nectar Ales experience through shared origins at Humboldt Brewing Company, Hemp Ale is a one-of-a-kind brew that boasts an incredibly rich profile and unique herb-accented flavor that is attributable to the incorporation of hemp seeds into the brewing process. A wonderful brown ale full of complexity Hemp Ale is great with food or by itself. American hops create a perfect balance to the darker malts used in this brew. This brown ale is the Gold Medal winner for first place in its category at both the 1999 and 2000 California State Fair Craft Brewing Competitions.

Buzz Beer

Millennium Buzz Beer is a hemp-based red lager made with the finest B.C. hemp, dark roasted Alberta malt and choice German hops. It’s cold-filtered with no preservatives or additives. This healthy mix of pure, wholesome ingredients – plus the natural goodness of hemp – accounts for its singularly clean, smooth refreshing taste.

Cannabis Vodka

Trendy, original, wild, popular and quickly spreading worldwide, this Czech specialty is conquering the nightlife throughout city bars, clubs and discos all around the planet. Containing 40% of cereal alcohol, spring water, sugar and singularly bottled with a handful of Cannabis Sativa L. seeds (better known as Beniko species), this peculiar liquor is undoubtedly becoming the most in vogue drink.

Cannabis Club

Ah if I can only read German. Brewed for Hanf & Natur by Klosterbrauerei Weissenohe. Exclusively brewed in Weissenohe, Bavaria, by use of organic ingredients only. Water, malt, hop, hemp blossoms, hemp essential oil. (In Italy this beer is sold under its alias “The Club Sud”).
