So you just picked up yourself some good kush and you can’t wait to get home or to your friends place to start smoking and enjoying that shit. Unfortunately you get home and you discover that you or your friend doesn’t have a grinder. The thing I hate most is chopping up weed without a grinder. It gets messy and the chop is so inconsistent its annoys the F*#K out of me.

Fortunately for you, there is a great way to cut up that favorite ganja of yours with two simple items that can be found in most homes. The first is a pair of scissors. I like to use the scissors with the serrated edges. I find these type of edges make cutting up the weed so much easier. If you don’t have scissors with serrated edges a sharp pair is good enough. The second item is a shotglass. This will help keep the weed from dropping all over the place. Your standard 1 oz. shot glass will do just fine. I like to use the tall shot glasses but it doesn’t really matter as long as the weed isn’t falling around everywhere. (SS Method = Shotglass Scissor Method)

So it’s pretty simple and if you haven’t figured it out yet, all you have to do is drop the bud in the shot glass, stick the pair of scissors in and start chopping. It shouldn’t take anymore than a couple of minutes to get a good chop out of the shotglass. Once your done cutting, dump the weed out on to your favorite rolling paper or you favorite bong or pipe. That’s it!

What’s the end result? Take a look at the pic below. This is what it comes out looking like with only about 20-30 seconds of cutting. In my opinion I find the outcome of this method is much better then using the grinder. Usually with a grinder, I find that sometimes sticky weed becomes difficult to grind. But with a pair of good scissors and a shotglass its easy to cut up the weed everytime plus you can cut it up to the consistency that you like. Unfortunately carrying around a pair of scissors and a shotglass is not very convenient, but if you’re at home, this method, in my opinion, is a superior cutting method. Enjoy and smoke weed everyday!
